ABOUT MEENA
Passionate About Education
At Vision College Prep, I work closely with teens and their parents as a team—gently guiding students through high school with greater intention, less stress, and more clarity. My goal is to help students make educated, confident decisions that reflect who they are and where they want to go. With the right strategies, we can effectively “market” each student’s unique strengths and story in their college applications, leading to stronger outcomes and a more fulfilling journey to college.

My own path to this profession wasn’t linear, but it shaped the way I connect with students today. I grew up in Ohio and attended The Ohio State University, where I competed on the women’s rowing team and later served as a coxswain for the Varsity Men’s Team. We pulled off a National Championship win against powerhouse programs—a lesson in teamwork, leadership, and grit that still inspires me. Academically, though, I struggled to find my place in such a large university. At my father’s encouragement, I transferred to Philadelphia University, where I discovered a love for Architectural Studies and later earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Miami.
Life then took me on an international adventure—from Texas to California, to Hong Kong and Singapore, and back to California. Those years deepened my appreciation for different cultures, languages, and perspectives. As I raised my children and supported their education, I realized how much I love guiding teens through this transformative chapter of life. That led me to UCLA’s College Counseling Program and, ultimately, to founding Vision College Prep.

Today, I also volunteer with the Inner City Arts Program in Los Angeles to support students who may not otherwise have access to personalized college guidance. I believe deeply in servant leadership—showing up with empathy, humility, and a genuine desire to empower others. Whether I’m working with students in my private practice or through volunteer programs, my mission remains the same: to help each student discover what lights them up—and turn that into a college journey that’s both meaningful and memorable.
