ABOUT MEENA

Passionate About Education

At Vision College Prep, I partner with teens and their parents as a cohesive team—guiding students through high school with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose. My approach balances strategy with heart: I help each student identify what makes them unique, articulate their authentic story, and turn years of hard work into a compelling college application that opens doors. The result? A more intentional, less stressful journey to college—and outcomes that truly reflect who they are and where they want to go.

My path to this work has been anything but linear—and that’s part of what makes my perspective unique. I grew up in Ohio and attended The Ohio State University, where I competed on the Women’s Rowing Team and later became the coxswain for the Varsity Men’s Team. Leading a crew to a National Championship taught me about teamwork, leadership, and grit—qualities I now help students cultivate as they navigate their own challenges.

After transferring to Philadelphia University, I discovered my passion for design and earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Miami. My career and life have taken me around the world—from Texas to California, Hong Kong, and Singapore—broadening my appreciation for diverse perspectives, cultures, and ways of thinking. Those experiences, combined with raising my children and supporting their educational journeys, shaped my calling: helping young people chart their own paths with intention and self-awareness.

To formalize that calling, I completed UCLA’s College Counseling Program and founded Vision College Prep, where I bring together strategy, storytelling, and mentorship to help students succeed. I also volunteer with Inner City Arts in Los Angeles, supporting students who may not otherwise have access to personalized guidance.

At the core of my philosophy is servant leadership—showing up with empathy, humility, and a deep commitment to empowering others. Whether working with a high-achieving senior or a sophomore just starting to dream, my mission remains the same: to help each student discover what lights them up—and turn that spark into a college journey that’s as meaningful as it is successful.
